A tenfold enhancement across the board was no small boost for Alex, and this was just the increase at lv2. Based on his estimates, once Third Tree: Abyss reached lv3, his power would increase by at least fifty times!

At that point, Alex's strength would undoubtedly reach the level of a single universe entity, making him invincible in the Marvel Cinematic Universe—except for beings like the God of Stories Loki

His brain became even more agile, capable of performing insane amount of calculations per second. Alex's brainpower instantly surpassed Accelerator's, largely because his Vector Manipulation had reached lv4, surpassing even Accelerator's level.

A surge of information flowed into Alex's mind, containing all the knowledge from the Toaru Majutsu no Index world about science and magic. Alex instantly gained this world's entire library of knowledge. Now, with this information, he could create a superhuman or a magician from scratch.

Finally, all of the unknown wings and the Third Tree: Abyss powers fused into a single skill. All the Unknown Wings abilities disappeared from the system panel, leaving only the transformed Third Tree: Abyss skill.

At this point, the description for Third Tree: Abyss was:

The Third Tree: Abyss skill had transformed once again. Though its amplification hadn't changed, Alex's control over his phasing abilities and Vector Manipulation had improved drastically.

Previously, he had been unable to use Vector Manipulation to enhance other abilities simultaneously, but now such feats were effortless!

Alex clenched his fist, and above his palm, a pure white supernova slowly rotated.

In the past, his supernova had faint traces of red from it being the technique reversal Red, but now, with the augmentation from Vector Manipulation, the supernova's color had turned completely pure white, devoid of any cursed energy influence.

Moreover, with the help of Vector Manipulation, even though he held the supernova in his hand, none of its destructive repulsive force leaked out, which was something he couldn't have done before.

Feeling the smooth flow of energy within him, Alex smiled in satisfaction and eagerly turned his gaze to the system panel. With his fusion rate now at 100%, it was time to unlock a new character template!

The system interface refreshed rapidly, and a new character template appeared before Alex:

His originally bright blue eyes now gleamed with an even more brilliant blue light, emitting a beautiful spiritual glow. In Alex's vision, deep red lines appeared across various objects. When he traced a line with his hand, the object would instantly wither and die.

After absorbing all the information, Alex understood the effect of the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception.

Once he comprehended the "death" of something, he would be able to see its "lines of death." By cutting along those lines, that entity would die instantly.

This entity didn't have to be a living being—it could be plants, air, or even conceptual laws. Anything could be a target for his cuts.

Of course, at lv1, the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception were not yet capable of such feats.

Based on Alex's estimation, once the skill reached lv3, he would be able to reach Ryougi Shiki's level and cut through conceptual entities. At even higher levels, he might be able to comprehend and sever the death of more abstract concepts, potentially cutting through the entire multiverse!

Ryougi Shiki's template had the fewest skills of any template Alex had encountered. Besides the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, which he obtained at 1% fusion, the only other skill would be the Root skill obtained at 80% fusion.

Since he hadn't yet unlocked it, Alex didn't know its exact effects, but he trusted that it would be on par with Third Tree: Abyss.

Even though Ryougi Shiki's template only had two skills, the difficulty of advancing her fusion rate was on par with Accelerator's template!

Alex was eagerly looking forward to discovering the effects of the Root skill.

[Hollow Technique "Purple" lv4 (198/5000)]: A combination of the techniques "Blue" and "Red," forming hypothetical mass. The user can precisely manipulate this mass, even transforming it into non-extraordinary matter. With enough energy, the hypothetical mass can persist for an extended period.

[Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void lv4 (1356/5000)]: Pulls the target into the inner side of Limitless, forcing their brain to endlessly repeat sensory processes for survival, creating useless information that renders the brain functionless, leaving the target standing helplessly. The user can finely control the domain, lock onto targets precisely, extract memories from their mind, and even implant new ones.

[Vector Manipulation lv4 (2879/5000)]: Controls all understandable vectors, including force, velocity, acceleration, displacement, momentum, impulse, electric field strength, magnetic induction, and more. Through constant practice, vector manipulation has broken its original limits, allowing the user to manipulate some scalar energies as well.

[Third Tree: Abyss lv2 (19/300)]: This technique bridges magic technology and the soul, incorporating the powers of the unknown wings. It grants a phase-shifting ability, offering extraordinary augmentation and attacks that ignore immortality.

[Portal lv5 (689/20000)]: Consumes magic to open a portal to any dimension, universe, or world. The portal can remain open as long as the user's magic doesn't run out. Magic can also be substituted with energy.

[Mirror Dimension lv3 (687/1000)]: Creates a temporary dimensional space that is isolated from reality, where anything that happens inside does not affect the real world.

[Multiple Shadow Clone Technique lv3 (96/1000)]: Creates up to tens of millions of shadow clones, each of which is a physical entity. Dispelling the clones allows the user to gain their memories. Chakra can be substituted with energy.

[Mystic Eyes of Death Perception lv1 (13/100)]: Allows the user to see "lines of death" on any object they understand the essence of. Cutting along these lines causes unavoidable, irreparable damage.

After acquiring the Root Origin - Ryougi Shiki template, Alex received a message from the ANBU, summoning him to report to the Hokage Tower.

After resting for over ten days, a rare luxury during a time of war, their break had come to an end, and it was clear they would be heading back to the battlefield soon.

At the same time, Uchiha Madara's plan was about to begin. If Alex didn't intervene, Rin Nohara would be captured, and Obito would fully descend into darkness.

However, Alex had no intention of letting the original plot unfold as it had. He had already planned out how things would go.

Obito, Rin is mine!

Although Alex's appearance had initially been identical to Uchiha Obito's, over the past ten days, he had subtly adjusted his features, making his facial structure more refined and balanced, raising his attractiveness by several levels.

And, of course, the aura he exuded was completely different from Obito's, making the small changes even more distinct, resulting in two entirely different people.

When they arrived at the Hokage Tower, Minato Namikaze was already waiting for them. When he saw Alex, he was visibly surprised.

"Obito, what's with your appearance?"

Alex, using Obito's voice, laughed and replied, "It might be because I awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan. My eye technique heals my body, and with its continuous effects, my features have gradually become more harmonious. It seems like it's had a cosmetic effect!"

Rin's eyes immediately lit up. She eagerly approached Alex and asked, "Obito, can you help me get a cosmetic treatment too?"

Alex patted his chest and grinned. "Leave it to me. After the mission, come to my house, and I'll give you a thorough check-up."

Just then, another figure came running over, having overheard the conversation. Her eyes also lit up, and she placed her hands on Alex's shoulders, saying, "Me too, me too! If you're doing this for Rin, you can't forget your teacher's wife!"

It was none other than Kushina Uzumaki, the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki and mother of the Child of Prophecy. Despite her brash personality, even she couldn't resist the temptation of beauty treatments.

Glancing at Kushina's impressive figure, Alex reflexively commented, "You're already beautiful, but sure, we can optimize things a bit. When we have free time, you and Rin can come to my house, and I'll give you both a thorough check-up."

Kushina smiled gleefully. "I knew there was a reason I doted on you!"

No, you probably shouldn't have, considering that Obito ripped the Nine-Tails out of you and got you and Minato killed. Obito, truly the greatest love-struck fool of all time.

Alex didn't say these thoughts out loud and instead accompanied the group to the Hokage's office.

As expected, the next phase of events unfolded as Alex had anticipated: Minato's team was assigned to the front lines, where they would fight against the Mist ninjas.

Kushina also attempted to join the mission alongside Minato's team but was rejected by Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Though they didn't explain it directly, Alex knew that this was because Kushina was the Jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails.

As a Jinchūriki, her freedom was severely restricted. She wasn't allowed to leave the village and was constantly monitored by the ANBU.

This would be her life until Minato became the Fourth Hokage, granting her more autonomy. But that only lasted for a year before Minato and Kushina both died in battle.

Alex's arrival would undoubtedly change their fates. In return, asking for the Nine-Tails as payment wouldn't be too much, would it?

After receiving their mission, Alex and his two teammates departed the same day. Thanks to Minato Namikaze's Flying Thunder God technique, they quickly reached the frontlines.

During this time, Alex encountered several key figures from the Hidden Leaf Village: Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and the fathers of the Twelve Guardian Ninja. Their appearances were slightly different from how they were depicted in the anime, but their key features remained unchanged, making it easy for Alex to recognize them.

For Alex, the ongoing ninja war felt more like child's play. He treated it lightly, having fun while going through the motions. Yet, even so, he managed to kill a significant number of Hidden Mist ninjas, drawing the attention of both Konoha and the Mist Village's upper echelons. Due to his exceptional performance, Alex earned a new title: The Black Reaper. This name reflected the fact that those who saw him were destined to die, thus comparing him to a god who brought death.

The title reminded Alex of his nickname in the Marvel Universe, but he found Black Reaper to be a much cooler title.

As the days passed, Alex's notoriety as the Black Reaper grew rapidly, even surpassing the fame of Minato's moniker, The Yellow Flash.

Then, after several days of amusement, Alex sensed a squad of Mist ninjas approaching. He immediately realized that Uchiha Madara's plan had begun!

Facing these low-level ninjas, Alex simply used his Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void to immobilize them. He then disguised one of his shadow clones as Rin Nohara, sending it with the Mist ninjas as they returned to report.

Since Alex's shadow clones were fully fleshed-out entities, not even Uchiha Madara could detect that the "Rin" accompanying the Mist was a fake. Thus, Alex wasn't worried about his plan being discovered.

Upon returning to the Mist Village, the ninjas proceeded to seal the Three-Tails inside Alex's shadow clone, intending to transport "Rin" to the Leaf Village as part of their plan to destroy it. However, by that time, Alex had already transferred the Three-Tails to his pocket dimension.

In the pocket dimension, Alex gazed at the massive turtle-like creature with three tails. Extending his hand, he clenched his fist slightly, and the will of the Three-Tails was immediately extinguished. Under immense pressure, its body shattered, turning into pure energy.

Holding the small red energy orb in his hand, Alex contemplated. The Three-Tails' chakra could continuously absorb ambient energy from the air to replenish itself, giving the illusion that the Tailed Beasts had limitless energy.

Alex assumed that the other Tailed Beasts had the same ability, and when it came to the Ten-Tails, its energy absorption capabilities would be terrifying. This was likely why it could easily drain the energy from an entire planet.

After sealing away the Three-Tails, Alex returned to the Leaf Village's base. It was then that the higher-ups issued orders for his team to stop a squad of Mist ninjas heading toward the village.

As they traveled, Rin continuously tried to make conversation with Alex. After spending some time together, Rin had completely fallen for Alex, so it was safe to say that she was in love.

"Obito, don't you think the mission we were given is a bit strange? It feels a little off," Rin commented.

Alex gave a mysterious smile. "I think so too. Maybe we're in for a surprise."

Kakashi, watching the interaction between Alex and Rin, couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. He interjected, "I just hope it's not a bad surprise."

Alex's smile deepened as he knew what was coming.

Before long, the three intercepted the squad of Mist ninjas. Upon seeing them, Kakashi and Rin both wore puzzled expressions.

"Why did they transform to look like Rin?" Kakashi whispered.

Rin shook her head slightly, also confused. This was when Alex pushed the story forward.

"I can feel an incredibly powerful chakra within the ninja disguised as Rin. She must be the Jinchūriki!"

He continued, "They're likely heading toward the village to release the Tailed Beast inside her and destroy it!"

Both Rin and Kakashi nodded in agreement, believing Alex's hypothesis. Alex then added, "Rin and I will distract the other Mist ninjas. Kakashi, you should go and kill the Jinchūriki. If you kill her, the Tailed Beast inside her will die too, and we can stop their plan."

Kakashi and Rin nodded again.

During this time, Alex subtly expanded his domain, altering the perceptions of all nearby beings to guide the narrative in his desired direction.

In a hidden underground cave, White Zetsu reported to Uchiha Madara: "Lord Madara, Kakashi and Rin are in position. Everything is proceeding as planned, except..."

"Except what?"

"Except that Uchiha disguised as Obito is with them, along with another unknown female Leaf ninja." (influenced by Alex's actions)

After a brief pause, Madara responded, "Proceed with the original plan. All we need is for Rin to die in front of Obito to awaken his Mangekyō Sharingan."

"Understood!"

Meanwhile, Rin and Alex successfully drew away most of the Mist ninjas, leaving Kakashi free to approach Alex's shadow clone, disguised as Rin.

Since a few Mist ninjas were left behind to guard the "Jinchūriki," Kakashi had to fight through their defenses, but as a seasoned Jonin, it wasn't too difficult for him.

From a distance, Alex eagerly watched the scene unfold. Obito was steadily approaching, while Kakashi reached the false Rin, thrusting his Chidori through her chest.

"Rin!" An anguished scream echoed as the iconic scene came to life!

At the same time, due to the overwhelming emotional turmoil, Obito's right Sharingan began to change, evolving directly from two tomoe to the Mangekyō Sharingan.

And because Kakashi shared the same eye from the same source, his left Sharingan evolved into a Mangekyō at the same time!

Seeing this, Alex grinned. It was time for him to make his grand entrance!

One of the Mist ninjas fighting Alex could no longer contain his rage after seeing Alex's distracted demeanor. He shouted, "You arrogant bastard! You dare daydream on the battlefield? I'll kill you!"

His outburst drew Alex's attention. With a slight flick of his finger, all the Mist ninjas around him were instantly sliced to pieces by invisible slashes.

Rin, seeing her enemies suddenly perish, ran to Alex's side, her eyes filled with admiration. "Obito, your power keeps growing!"

Alex responded with a phrase she couldn't yet understand: "Rin, admiration is the furthest emotion from understanding."

Before she could ask what he meant, Alex began walking swiftly toward Kakashi's location.

Rin, puzzled but curious, followed closely behind him.

The real show was about to begin!
